"FREE"dom Weekend

Our weekend started with a trip to Winco Friday night to redeem our coupons for free Shasta, Hotdogs, Buns, and Chips. Mom had given us her coupon as well, so we got twice the free items. I also bundled it with some manufacturer coupons for items like Mac and cheese...It was fun for the kids to see how much we got for little or no cost at the store by using our coupons. Then we went to Red Robin where we had coupons for free kids meals with the purchase of 2 classic burgers. After our 10 dollar dinner (Really, you can't even hardly buy the fixings for a dinner for 10 dollars) we went to Krispy Kreme for for dessert.

It was national donut day and they were giving away free donuts. When we walked in the door, we saw a promotion for a dozen free glazed donuts if we brought in Dad's ugliest tie. Lucky for us DI was across the street so we went on "an ugly tie hunt." The kids loved it! Landon even found a mint condition St. Louis Cardinals tie for Mike, any early Father's Day gift. It was soooo much fun! Our tie was pretty ugly. The kids hope that it wins the ugliest tie contest, the prize is a year of free donuts. Now wouldn't that be fun? On Saturday we went to the Aquatic Center. One day a year they offer a free day to the public. What a boon, this is like a $20 treat for the family. We love the aquatic center. Unfortunately, I also walked away with a free sun burn. I haven't got this sunburned ever. The worst part is it is only from my knee up. Can you say ouch? Of all the free stuff we got/did this weekend, this is one I could have done without. After our fun in the sun, we went to Kent's Market for their
8th anniversary and got free cake, ice cream, and chips.
Saturday was also free fishing day, and state national parks day. Too bad you can't jam everything into one weekend. What a fun summer "FREE"dom weekend we had!

  1. Wow, that makes me wish I were back in Utah where they have coupons and free stuff. Out here they charge you for as many things as they for as much as they can for as long as they can.
Sounds like your weekend was spectacular!!
